Tzatziki Recipe

Tzatziki sauce is the most famous product of Greek cuisine. It is prevalent because there are Greek communities everywhere you go around the world that carry the tradition. One year ago in September, before the wedding my good friend, We went at a Greek restaurant downtown. We were served strictly Greek food (calamari, tzatziki, seafood, etc.) and I felt like in Greece for several hours.

Tzatzhiki sauce is usually used in several kinds of meat, and the famous gyros.


For a sauce you only need:

400 grams of Greek yoghurt
1/2 long cucumber (peeled and diced small)
4-8 garlic cloves (depending on your taste)
juice of ½ lemonTzatziki
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt / pepper

Mix all ingredients and put fresh dill on top.

Serve with meat or vegetables.
